Dutch Oven Bread Co. was founded in March of 2020 by Fabio and Candice Uyttewaal. Our name is inspired by Fabio's Dutch heritage, as well as a baking technique which utilizes a Dutch oven (lidded pot) to create the most perfect artisan-style loaves. Dutch Oven Bread Co. prides themselves in quality ingredients, mindful preparation and both customer and employee satisfaction. We plan to expand our business through conscious intention and with altruism at the core of our company... baking bread for the good of all!
We began baking in our home kitchen and, because of the love and support from our community, expanded our business into a commercial bakery located at 504 Pullman Rd., Edgewater. Our retail bakery at 120 Canal Street is now open! We're open Wednesday - Saturday, 9:00-2:00, or sold out.
